Craig Hall received rave reviews in the February 19 New York Times.

According to Gia Kourlas, Craig Hall's debut with the New York City Ballet opposite Janie Taylor in “Afternoon of a Faun” was excellent and his "magnetic presence created a simmering, animal sensuality". As a result, he and Ms. Taylor "didn’t simply act the steps but danced them, creating one of those magical performances in which the audience, without thought, held its breath in one collective gasp and roared."
