Dance Classes
3 1/2 and 4 Year Olds:
Introduce your child to the world of ballet through music and movement. Your child will learn dance and dance terminology, use props such as scarves, brooms and balls and will be introduced to the ballet barre.Kindergartners: Children must be 5 years old and in Kindergarten. Proper ballet technique from stretches to center floor work to alignment at the ballet barre, and across the floor ballet technique are taught. Children are also introduced to the world of jazz and hiphop with the latest music and steps.
6 Years Old and Up: Combination class for beginner through advanced. All dancers are introduced to ballet, jazz and tap. Uniforms and good attendance are mandatory.
Strict Ballet: This class is for the serious dancer ONLY. Ballet classes will be recommended to those students who show great interest in becoming a dancer or furthering their abilities in dance. Dancers should take 1 to 2 years of combination class before adding this class. Students must wear pink tights and black leotards ONLY. Pink ballet slippers are also required. Hair must be tied-up and off the face and neck, no bangs, preferably in a ballet bun.
Pointe Class: This class is also only for the serious dancer. Several years of experience and concurrent enrollment in the dance combination and ballet class are also required.
Boys: This is for boy's introduction ot tap, jazz and hip-hop. Boys must be at least 7 years old.
